Concluding the Essential Growth Farming Toolkit is the most essential element to it all: Conscious Awareness. There is so much that can be said, instructed, and absorbed about the power of conscious awareness.
We’ve also covered this concept and explained the tools in more depth on The Growth Farming podcast.
For today, you can hear an extemporaneous version of this teaching (with A LOT of additional pieces) here:
As you know, most of what we produce within our lives comes from within our heart and mind gardens. That’s why focusing on Love is so important.
At the same time, we need effective tools to make this process work the best. That’s what I’m here to help you with.
Over the past several weeks, I’ve shared with you essential tools to change your life. These are tools I use daily that has had a monumental impact on my life. For the betterment of all.
I also teach these tools in more detail inside my courses and training programs. As well as work with my students personally in implementing them into their life.
If you’d like insights into how to join me in either of these, we can talk here.
One tool to most benefit them all
Conscious awareness is the one key tool that makes everything else work best. Conscious awareness is truly the biggest game-changer for yourself.
If you want to expand your growth in this area, I highly recommend the writings of Abraham Hicks, Wayne Dyer, Florence Scovel Shinn, Neville Goddard and Eckart Tolle. These teachers have greatly influenced my own life, and what you will experience in this post.
The big reason why awareness is such an important part of this toolkit is that it is the essential tool for changing your life.
Conscious awareness removes our attachments to people, situations, pain, separation and suffering. It sets us free to be who we truly are, which is Love.
This is because conscious awareness is your connection with the Divine, with Almighty Love (aka God/Source) that brings all goodness into existence.
The power of conscious awareness
The need for validation, approval, acceptance is dissolved when conscious awareness is on the scene. The ego loses its power and the spirit has a more prominent voice. Both of these entities are existent inside each of us.
One is driven by fear, separation, and a need for significance. The other is your true essence, which is eternal, and sees the interconnectedness of all of life.
Awareness (or consciousness) is the spiritual component of everything we do. It’s the invisible world existing in our imagination. The infiniteness of the universe exists inside of you. You are not bound by the limitations of negative beliefs. Actually, you are one with the creative abundance of Divine Love.
It’s about opening the eyes to truly see what is present within you. Conscious awareness is bringing the unconscious parts of yourself, your inner beliefs and ideals, to the surface. It’s here where manifestation occurs.
Once you truly become aware of your subtle and hidden patterns of thinking, your subconscious beliefs, you can begin the process of changing yourself from within.
Escaping the grip of the ego
The ego is always looking for something external from you to find happiness, fulfillment, and purpose. The ego is what drives all codependent behavior. Ultimately, codependence is the main product of ego consciousness.
Conscious awareness is the antithesis of this. Because with conscious awareness, an abundance of Love, health, prosperity and peace becomes your experience.
The unseen becomes seen. And transformation takes place within you.
The need for something outside of yourself to bring you Peace, Love, and happiness dissipates. You find that all you’ve ever truly wanted or needed is already within you. Because Love is your true essence.
Embrace the practice of connecting with conscious awareness
Everything we do in life is an opportunity. It’s practice.
What gets in the way of us growing through practice? Perfectionism.
You’re not alone if that’s something you’ve struggled with. I wrestled with perfectionism for decades. Here’s an affirmation to help you shake free: “I get better and better every day with practice.”
Practice in any area of your life.
Affirmations are a tool to recreate your inner world. You change your life by changing your beliefs.
Relationship struggles, financial issues, insecurity, and fear are all the products of stories you believe to be true about yourself on a conscious and subconscious level. Through the power of conscious awareness, you begin to see what these negative beliefs are so that you can proactively change them.
This is the work of using self-Love to completely change your self-concept. As your inner beliefs about yourself change, so does everything in your life.
Neville Goddard teaches that the world we live in is a reflection of the inner world in our minds. God’s creative capacities are being illustrated every day because we are the creative force in the world.
That’s God working through you. As you tune in to the creative power within you, your conscious awareness, you overcome difficulties to manifest your dreams.
“Your present level of consciousness will only be transcended as you drop the present state and rise to a higher level. You rise to a higher level of consciousness by taking your attention away from your present limitations and placing it upon that which you desire to be.”
-Neville Goddard
Practice is a process of action
Practice is taking conscious action on utilizing the awareness you have of yourself. Awareness of your patterns (actions), thoughts, behaviors, and beliefs.
The seed produces the fruit. Your thoughts (conscious and unconscious/subconscious) and your beliefs produce your actions, attitudes, and behaviors.
This is the core principle of all Growth Farming. When you plant Love inside yourself in your heart and mind garden, Love becomes the fruit of your life.
Gain inner clarity of your inner dialogue, thoughts, beliefs, actions, patterns, habits, and behaviors.
And once you see, you can’t unsee. Mindfulness comes into play here.
In this process, you become more aware of yourself. You pay closer attention to your own details of your thoughts and beliefs. By asking yourself questions and exploring the unknown terrain within you, you get to know yourself better.
And you grow in a relationship with yourself. This is the key to personal growth and transformation.
Become a marksman in your own personal journey
Awareness is a process of awakening. There’s a part of you that is sleeping and has been asleep for some time.
The greatest teachers and sages in history are all revered for their conscious awareness of who they truly are. Their teachings are vessels of sharing this awakening with all of us, throughout the course of human history.
The more we as a human species become more aware of ourselves individually, the more connected we become with all of life. As such, conscious awareness spreads Love, peace, and hope throughout the world.
“No quality so separates man from man as does the disciplined imagination. Your attention must be developed, controlled, and concentrated in order to change your concept of yourself successfully and thereby change your future.”
Neville Goddard
What happens when conscious awareness is put into play
Codependency, the unconscious patterns of seeking validation, acceptance, and Love from others loses its power and its grip. Toxic, dysfunctional, and broken relationships are healed because the inner disease is cured.
A relationship with a whole self creates healthy relationships with others. This is the essence of true Love. It’s Love for the sake of Love. Not love for what you can get out of it.
And yes, there is a reason I capitalize one Love and not another love. Similar to how we often capitalize God when we’re talking about the omniscient presence and Source for all that is Good.
In this way, Love is your consciousness come alive. It’s the God force inside of you made manifest.
Understanding Love that changes everything
True Love is Love that exists because it is eternal, unwavering, and the real essence of all creation.
The other love is a manufactured misrepresentation of what is genuine, pure, and true.
This is also another way of seeing the egoic nature versus the Presence of consciousness.
As Eckart Tolle writes in A New Earth: Awakening To Your Life’s Purpose:
When you make unconscious motivations conscious, you immediately see how absurd they are. The ego that lies behind them becomes visible, as does its dysfunction. Once you see what you are doing or have been doing, you also see its futility, and that unconscious pattern then comes to an end by itself.
This statement (also found in Eckart’s book, in the same chapter as the quote above) summarizes the power of this essential tool so immensely well:
Awareness is the greatest agent for change.
Why conscious awareness is mentioned last if it’s the most important
I’ve saved this essential Growth Farming tool to conclude with because of our relationship with the idea of tools.
Whether we’re thinking of trowels, shovels, or wheelbarrows, we often think of tools as devices to create a solution.
Or maybe the imagery of tools is more in the realm of construction. You may be inclined to conjure thoughts of hammers, nails, and ladders regarding this subject.
They are means to an end. You have an idea for something you want to create so you look for the right tools to make that happen.
Yet the best thing for making an idea a reality is clarity on the idea itself. This is the power of awareness.
It’s also what we seem to struggle the most with adopting. We look for the hammers & nails believing that finding them will give us what we need to succeed in our endeavor.
Because we don’t realize initially that clarity and direction are the primary resources more than just the tools themselves.
Now that you’ve gained action steps you can take to bring more Love into your life from within, I’ve chosen to make this post on Conscious Awareness the capstone for your continual journey into becoming the best version of you.
The spiritual component of life is what creates the greatest transformation and change.
This has also been part of the story that I’ve lived
When I was first discovering what self-Love is, I sought the tools first. I looked for the methods for making the change without having the perspective of what was most necessary. Awareness of my inner world, beliefs, and spirituality.
In my search for “tools,” I gained the benefit of utilizing what I’ve shared with you in this series. I’m referring to the power of journaling, meditation, connecting with nature, and affirmations.
All of these tools, individually and collectively, are amazing catalysts for personal growth and transformation.
And they’re all best utilized through the power of harnessing your spiritual nature.
Will you choose to allow your spirituality, conscious awareness, guide you in a direction of healing and transformation? In doing so, you will make massive steps in completely changing your life.
Embracing the process of growth through these powerful tools
Transformation is a process. It’s a part of all of our pathways and journeys.
Now that you are aware of the power of awareness, you can use the other tools in the Essential Growth Farming Toolkit more profoundly and powerfully. Awareness will more drastically impact the transformation you experience in your life.
Be the conquistador of your own story
One really cool thing about the power of conscious awareness is that you get to become like the explorers of old. Think Hernán Cortés who conquered the Aztec Empire and Francisco Pizarro who led the conquest of the Incan Empire.
Their journeys from the known world into the unknown realms of “discovered” lands expanded what is now our known world. And yes, some of their methods were not entirely humane, but that’s not the point here.
The point is be an explorer of the world within you that you’re not aware of yet. Grow in your awareness of yourself.
It’s like discovering a whole new world within you that you didn’t know was there. It’s exciting and fun.
What if you’re not feeling solid about yourself?
Wouldn’t awareness of the negativity going on in your mind only remind you of all the things you don’t like about yourself?
Possibly. And wouldn’t you want to change this?
