When it comes to living your best life and experiencing Love in its fullest capacity, what is the secret?
What if the true power of creation for your dreams is in your hands and not someone (or something) else?
“Flowing water never decays.”
I first heard this teaching about flowing water from Wayne Dyer in his training about getting into alignment.
Over the past three months, I’ve been studying a lot of Neville Goddard, Florence Scovel Shinn, and Ernest Holmes.
They are the pioneers of modern metaphysics and the law of attraction.
Each one teaches about states of consciousness and how to shift into higher states to create the life you desire.
Florence was big on the power of words and thoughts. Neville was big on combining thought and feeling. Ernest was very condensed in his methods and uses a combination of both thought, belief, and feeling.
All of them teach that the power of creation is in the mind.
Why The Power Of Creation Is Not Outside Of You
We’re all too often shaped and conditioned by what our senses tell us.
What we see, hear, taste, touch, or feel is how we think things are.
Yet it’s the inner world that actually creates our outer experiences.
Using their teachings (Neville, Ernest and Florence), the Bible is full of insights and directions on the creative power inside all of us to make the world as we imagine it.
Yet we’re conditioned to not trust our imaginations.
When we “come of age” we’re told to put the things of childhood away and grow up.
Jesus said to be like children as we come to God. To come with complete trust and faith.
Also, the mind of a child is one of infinite openness to possibilities and the belief that wonders are normal things.
And as we get older, we’re taught by adults and teachers to not play in a fantasy world but to come down to earth, or think rationally/logically.
This is a conditioning that stagnates our creative abilities because it blocks and hinders the divine flow of Love and creativity which says all things are possible.
When we look around or go by what our egoic intellect says, we get stuck.
Stuck Water Decays Because It Stagnates
The ego or intellect wants safety and security, but not necessarily peace and abundance. It wants only to survive.
The survival mechanism isn’t for growth and thriving.
To keep you from venturing out too far, it creates stories of limitation and scarcity.
Then it moves in your consciousness to focus only on these limitations, believing them to be true.
This is the real enemy spoken of in scripture, not some external evil that is trying to harm you.
It’s the negative, destructive, decaying thoughts of limitation that pervade so many people.
This leads to creating mini-worlds of destruction, tyranny, pain, and sorrow.
These internal beliefs can cause you to experience what feels like different levels of hell, especially in relationships.
Everything Comes From Within, Not From Without
Meaning, all that we see and experience is the fruit of the inner workings of humankind.
The subconscious is reflecting back to us what is inside it by projecting the thoughts and feelings on the screen of the world, or the experience and manifestations of living people.
The power of creation in your life is in your mind.
How do we remove the decay and limiting beliefs inside this river of our minds?
How can we change our inner consciousness to operate from the divine infiniteness of all possibilities?
This idea is especially challenging when we have painful experiences that make us question our worth, value, and place in the world.
How can someone who has experienced difficulty and struggle escape these conditions to experience blissful relationships and prosperity with ease and simplicity?
What Do The Greatest Teachers Say About This?
“Man awake is under compulsion to express his subconscious impressions. If in the past he unwisely impressed himself, then let him begin to change his thought and feeling, for only as he does so will he change his world. Turn from appearances and assume the feeling that would be yours were you already the one you wish to be. Feeling a state produces that state.” -from Feeling Is The Secret by Neville Goddard
“Power is, and mind is, and life is, but they have to flow through us in order to express in our lives. We provide the thought-form around which the divine energies play and to which they attract the conditions necessary for the fulfillment of the thought. Nothing can happen to use that is not first an accepted belief in our own consciousness. There is something which waits for only our recognition to spring into being, bringing with it all the power in the universe.” -from Creative Mind and Success by Ernest Holmes
“We are told in the fifty-fifth Psalm, to ‘cast thy burden upon the Lord.’ Many passages in the Bible state that the battle is God’s not man’s and that man is always to ‘stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.’ The superconscious mind (or Christ within) is the department that fights man’s battles and relieves him of burdens. It seems almost impossible to make any headway directing the subconscious from the conscious, as the reasoning mind (the intellect) is limited in its conceptions and filled with doubts and fears. How scientific it then is, to cast the burden upon the superconscious mind (or Christ within) where it is ‘made light’ or dissolved of its native nothingness.” -from The Game Of Life and How To Play It by Florence Scovel Shinn
The Secret To Harvesting A Thriving Inner Garden
The fruit of life comes from the garden of the mind and heart. This is the core principle and philosophy of Relationship Growth Farming.
You must change your impression of yourself and your conditions to harvest a thriving inner garden. This is the work of the individual, not any outside influence or event.
The transformation we all want to experience is an internal process of clearing out our minds of all that produces beliefs in lack, scarcity, fear, and doubt.
This is a conscious choice to make on a daily basis to address yourself with Grace and gentleness, not hostility and frustration. And this is the power of creation within you.
Grace and gentleness are feeling states of consciousness.
The subconscious mind is molding your outward experiences through what you plant inside with your thoughts and feelings. It is the soil in which the seeds you plant take root. This combination of thought (belief) and feeling produces the fruits of your life.
That’s why the focus of everything I teach with Relationship Growth Farming is on the heart and mind garden.
How To Get Into The Flow Of The Power Of Creation
The inner soul work is the spiritual component. It is the river of life that flows from within.
We can block and hinder the infinite spirit from doing its divine work if we maintain beliefs of limitation and scarcity, or of doubt and fear.
Love is always abundant and always giving. Yet if we don’t allow ourselves to believe this truth, we will create experiences that conform to the contrary.
It’s the internal conditioning of the subconscious mind that has only been given figurative weeds and thorns.
All life inside is constantly struggling for survival against such negative thoughts and feelings.
This is why negative assumptions about yourself and others reveal everything about your core beliefs.
The way out of this negative pattern is to become aware of what is inside your inner garden.
Do you feel perpetual states of pain, loneliness, fear, doubt, and worry? If you doubt your worthiness, these low states of consciousness will be the fruit of your garden.
Do you feel and believe (consciously or unconsciously) that your worth is validated by the actions and attitudes of other people towards you?
If so, you will chase after Love and acceptance from others because you don’t believe in your own inherent worthiness.
And if this is so, it’s ok.
We all are conditioned to believe that what happens outside of us through our experiences with others is what is real and what is true. But that’s not how life actually is.
Everything is a reflection of your inner state of consciousness.
How To Use The Power Of Thoughts And Beliefs
Your conditioned beliefs shape your consciousness, which then shapes your experiences.
What is inside of you is reflected on the screen of your human experience.
Or as Neville teaches, “Everything and everyone is you pushed out.”
So what can you do to change your state (consciousness)? How can you remove stagnant water so that the river of life flows freely in you without decay?
What is the key to transforming your inner world to reflect your wishes fulfilled in the realm of your senses?
Believe and trust in the power of creation in the Divine Love inside you.
Know That Love Is Already Inside Of You
How do I know that Love is inside of you?
And how can I say that with full confidence and conviction without knowing your individual story?
Well, two reasons stick out most.
First, I was in a very similar space not long ago. Heartbroken and emotionally crushed, I felt completely worthless and hopeless after experiencing a very painful divorce.
This led to me quitting my coaching business for ten months. I had no confidence or belief in myself.
There was a deep inner belief I’d been fostering that real success was the product of overcoming years of struggle.
I told myself a ton of inner stories of being perpetually rejected at every turn in life: in romantic relationships, friendships, and business.
When I was finally brought to a place of feeling below rock bottom, I was confronted with the truth: I had attracted to me everything I believed was true of myself.
All the pain, misery, struggle, and suffering was the harvest of decades of internally sowing negative beliefs and stories of fear and lack.
If Fear Can Bring Pain, What Can Love Bring?
I heard a still small voice whisper to me in my lowest brokenness,
You don’t know how to Love yourself, and this is the cause of all your pain.
It was at this point that I began to make a change in my inner world through my thoughts, beliefs, attitudes, and actions. I sought the Christ-mind, the Divine Source of all Love and abundance. It met me where I was and has never left.
This was the beginning of my own awakening and transformation.
And if I can go through a proverbial hell and come out whole on the other side, you can too.
Planting and cultivating Love from within is the key to all positive creation.
It has required my active conscious participation in clearing out negative beliefs, thoughts, and attitudes.
Anything involving lack, scarcity, or fear has to be removed.
Now Divine Love can flow freely and fluidly throughout my life, relationships, business, and endeavors.
It Also Requires Commitment And Consistency
All transformation and change is a process. Anyone seeking instant results needs to first focus on the feelings being the main thing. As your feelings and thoughts change, your outer world reflects this change back to you.
It all begins with a choice. A conscious choice. An inner decision.
Only you can make this choice. Once you begin, be faithful to yourself and to the process of clearing out your mind from anything that doesn’t serve you.
There are a few select tools I use daily for this.
I’ve written and talked about them at length in my book Be Solid: How To Go Through Hell & Come Out Whole. It’s a playbook for overcoming negative beliefs to live a life of self-Love.
I also teach these tools in my online training courses.
A few to mention here are daily journaling, affirmations, and meditation.
These three tools, when used with the power of the Divine Mind (Christ-mind/Holy Spirit) create changes to produce life as you WISH it to be.
Being conscious of what you are planting inside with your thoughts, beliefs, feelings, and outside influences is essential to growing Love from within.
Accept Yourself As Worthy Right Now
This is Grace. Grace is unconditional Love in action.
If you feel bad or have negative feelings, do not reject yourself. Accept yourself.
“It’s Ok, I Love You,” is a beautiful affirmation that clears negativity and removes decaying beliefs.
Because you send Love to yourself. Love overcomes all fear.
Send Love to yourself at all times.
Love is abundant. If you find yourself thinking in terms of limitations or scarcity, change your thoughts to those of plenty and abundance.
Find a place to walk outside and notice the abundance of grass, trees, birds, clouds, or anything in nature. Breathe in this abundance and give thanks for it.
Gratitude is an attraction force.
If you notice that you have inner thoughts of negativity towards yourself, change them with affirmations.
Many great affirmations are in my books. Others that have helped me are in the books of Florence Scovell Shinn, Wayne Dyer, and Jenn Sincero.
Affirmations are declarations of Love that plant seeds for the tree of Life to grow from within you.
You cultivate these seeds with meditation and journaling (detailed in episodes of the Growth Farming Podcast).
Use your imagination to visualize the experiences you desire. Surrender them to the Divine Source (God), to harvest a healthy and prosperous garden from within.
This is the power of creation that is inside of you. This creation is then reflected back to you with miracles of abundant Love, happiness, wealth, and prosperity.
This is the key to having the life of your dreams.
